The NIU women's track & field team will send Huskies to the Penn and Hillsdale Relays to compete in two prestigious meets this weekend as the track & field season nears its pinnacle.

A week after setting the NIU school record in the heptathlon, Latesha Bigby of the track & field team conquered another all-time Huskie mark on Saturday.

Four members of the NIU women's track & field team were named to the Academic All-MAC Team for the indoor track & field campaign, the league office announced on Friday morning.

The NIU women's track and field team will compete at the Michael Johnson Classic hosted by Baylor University in Waco, Texas on Saturday.

The NIU women's track & field team won the Chicagoland Outdoor Championship this weekend, defeating several local schools for the title, including DePaul, Chicago State, UIC, Olivet Nazarene and more.
